Wedding Date: 29/08/2009
Location: Brunswick Heads, NSW
We met through a mutual friend about 12 years ago. But didn't start seeing each other for a couple of years after that.
Andrew proposed on my birthday. He had secretly organised to have the day off work to cook me my favorite curry dish and set our balcony up with candles and fairy lights. He had bought me flowers and wine, and just before dinner he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with a beautiful engagement ring he'd secretly picked out a few weeks earlier. It was the best birthday ever!
My wedding dress was from Brides Desire at West End.
My earrings were very simple and found them at Wallace Bishop. I wore a veil from Brides Desire.
and Groomsmen's Attire
The Groom and Groomsman all wore black suits and a white pin stripe shirt. They all had a rose buttonhole.
Dresses & Accessories:
The bridesmaids dresses came from Powerhouse, their earrings from Diva, and shoes from Famous Footwear.
We had Lysianthus and Roses in our boquets. My boquet was slightly bigger than the bridesmaids, but they were all the same. We had Honeymoon Roses as our centre pieces at our recpetion. This carried the latte colour from the girls dresses through into the reception.
Theme & Colours:
We chose pale pink, latte, ivory/white and black which was soft and elegant.
Venue & Details:
Our ceremony was held at Tonakina park by the river in Brunswick Heads. Andrew and myself both love the water and beach so this was a location we couldn't go past.
Venue & Details:
Our reception was held at the Ocean Shores Country Club. We had Byron and Beyond Wedding Hire, and We've Got It Covered help us set up our reception.
We had quite a large wedding party so we decided to get a minivan so everyone could be together.
We had chocolates wrapped in tissue paper which had each guests name on it.
Our cake was made by a family member.
Magic Sounds DJ.
We went to Thailand for 3 weeks. We went to Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, Chaing Mai & Bangkok. It was adventure filled at times but also managed to relax while we were there.
The whole day is a special memory. I got to marry Andrew who I love so much and had all our family and closest friends there to help us celebrate.
Brides to Be:
Relax and enjoy your day. It goes so fast so make the most of every minute.
