Wedding Profile - Vanessa & Jason

How We

Met:

Jason and I met through mutual friends at the Good Vibrations Festival in 2006.

The

Proposal:

Jason proposed to me while we were walking along the Brisbane River to go the Breakfast Creek Hotel for dinner. He also organized all my family and friends, most of whom travelled interstate, to be at the dinner.

The Wedding

Dress:

I wore an ivory grecian style dress with a ruched bodice and beadwork from Raylia Designs.

Accessories:

I wore a pair of diamante hoop earrings that Jason gave to me as a gift earlier in the year and a silver clip in my hair.

The Groom

and Groomsmen's Attire

Jason and Gethin wore matching charcoal and white pinstripe three piece suits from Zanetti.

Bridesmaids

Dresses & Accessories:

My sister wore a teal strapless baby doll dress.

Flowers:

We had ivory coloured roses for the bouquets and buttonholes.

Wedding

Theme & Colours:

We didn’t have a theme as we had Sydney Harbour as our backdrop for the ceremony and the reception.

Ceremony

Venue & Details:

The ceremony was held at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.

Reception

Venue & Details:

The reception was held at Wolfies Restaurant at The Rocks in Sydney.

Wedding

Cars:

We had a White Lexus for the day.

Bonbonniere:

We had hard rock candies made with “Ness ♥ Jason” which were put into little jars for each guest.

Cake:

We had a two tiered cake, with the bottom tier a caramel mud cake and the top tier a gluten free chocolate mud cake.

Entertainment:

I put together several music playlists for day. We hired speakers and PA system, which we connected my Mac book to.

Honeymoon:

We are going to Port Douglas for 9 days for our honeymoon.

Special

Memories:

The beautiful backdrop we had for our ceremony and reception. Also, being upgraded to a penthouse at the Quay West Apartments.

Advice for

Brides to Be:

Take as much of the day in as you can and try to get some alone time with your husband during the day.
