Wedding Profile - Rebecca Chamberlain & Jason Chamberlain

Wedding Date: 26/04/2008
Location: Chermside West, QLD
How We
We met at Jamaica Blue Restaurant in Chermside, which Jason's friends owned. I was a waitress and Jason would pick me up from my house each morning and drop me at work at 7am, even when he didn't have to be there!
Jason had it all planned for the upcoming weekend when we were going up the sunshine coast but true to my form I was being nosey and wanted to know what all the money was for in the bank a/c (I later found out it was for the engagement ring). So Jason changed his plans and proposed that night at home...it was so romantic as he turned up in a suit with a bottle of bubbly and got down on one knee and proposed. It was nice that it ended up being just the two of us.
The Wedding
White full length dress with beaded strapless bodice and beading detail through the front and on the train at the back. Purchased from A Touch of Romance in Stones Corner.
I wore a tiara and necklace and earrings to match and white shoes with diamante on the front.
The Groom
 and Groomsmen's Attire
They wore black suits with jacket and waits coats, with a smokey pink tie.
 Dresses & Accessories:
The girls wore full length strapless chocolate brown dresses with a smokey pink sash!
I had 4 dozen white roses with a few pink ones and the girls had 2 dozen each of pink roses all from Geebung florist. She was great and so friendly. Jason had a white rose and the boys had pink. there was also corsages for the mums and a rose for my brother who gave me away.
 Theme & Colours:
Colours were chocolate and pink and it was really just relaxed with a hint of elegance.
 Venue & Details:
Ceremony was in the gardens at the Allen Border Cricket Ground - The Pavilion in Brekky Creek. It was right by the cricket pitch.
 Venue & Details:
Reception was also at the Allen Border Cricket Ground - The Pavilion in Brekky Creek in the Captains Room, overlooking the cricket pitch and at night you could see some of the lights of the city.
We had a BMW 7 series from Accent Limousines and the owner was fantastic as he was hired with very short notice due to the original car falling through.
We had little personalised bottles of port for everyone.
It was a tier of caramel & chocolate mud Cup Cakes with a Fruit cake on top. The figurines were were of me holding a bottle of bubbly and Jason holding a fishing rod.
We had John Boyle as the DJ & MC - brilliant and highly recommended, he really made the night fun memorable.
We went to Thailand for 10 nights and it was fantastic! Loved it loved it loved it!
The whole day was just amazing! It went better than we could have imagined. It was great to have friends and family that traveled from NZ. A little tear from Jason when I walked up the aisle was really special and made me realise he was the one for me :)
Advice for
 Brides to Be:
It's your day and don't let anyone tell you how it should be. Also, don't worry because after all the build up to the wedding and stress of it all the day will be perfect and you will surprise yourself as to how relaxed you end up being :) Have fun...oh and try to eat during the day because you may not get time later on!
